Nestle's VIVONEX T.E.N is a low-fat elemental formula containing 100% free amino acids enriched with glutamine to meet the nutritional needs of patients with gastrointestinal impairment(1.0kcal/mL).
VIVONEX® formulas require minimal digestive functionality for assimilation, providing the benefits associated with continued use of the GI tract. The enteral nutrition formula further provides individuals 1.0kcal/ml (energy density, 15% protein, 82% carbohydrates and 3% fat.
Suitable for the short term dietary management of severe chylus leakage, bowel fistulae, pre-bowel surgery, malabsorption and digestion disturbances due to gastrointestinal impairment. Can be used as an alternative to a polymeric diet when there is accelerated transit time or malabsorption.
