Low Activation Temperature (65 degrees Celcius):
Can be moulded directly on the patient
Short cooling time still allows adequate working time to complete correct alignment
Does not become too soft or stretchy when overheated

Ease of Use:
Contours very well on the patient's anatomy

Non-Stick (NS) Coating:
Allows overlapping or pinching to hold splint in place, can be separated when material cools
Accidental bonding is easily fixed when material cools
Coating can be dissolved without the use of toxic solvents and can be peeled off to enhance adhesion
Coating can be removed easily by scraping or with sand paper
Coating allows multiple splints to be heated at the same time in the water bath
Excellent Elastic Memory:
Allows reusing of the same piece of material for serial splinting
Splints can be entirely remoulded in case of mistakes
Material can be fully stretched without tearing and reshaped when put back into hot water~~
Low Shrinkage (less than 0.5%):
Maintains the shape and dimension determined by the size of the limb
No risk for excessive pressure or compression
No problems with splint shrinkage during fabrication
