The Hand-Aid Arterial IV Support, paediatric , offers a more custom fit as the Wrist Support is easy to adjust, and the soft adjustable hook-and-loop straps provide a secure and comfortable fit for all patients. Unlike some IV supports that utilise harsh tape that irritate the skin, the HAND-AID IV Wrist Support eliminates the need for tape. The Wrist Support is also designed to help limit infections on an IV site, as the IV supports are employed during the initial stages of IV placement. They may be used to stabilise a patient's wrist or if an antecubital view is being accessed a forearm or elbow. Halyard's IV supports also have a large plastic base that can be cleaned with a quick wipe to help prevent cross-contamination.
