Z Vibe Vibrationary Tool
This well known and effective tool is used to 'wake up' the mouth by providiing gentle vibrationary oral stimulation and sensory input. It can be used to improve a variety of speech, feeding and sensory skills by providing targeted tactile cues within the mouth.Supervision from either an OT or a Speech Pathologist is highly recommended to establish a specific programme. Children can hold the Z Vibe themselves, or someone else can hold it for them. There is lots of information in the resource book - Tools and Techniques for the Z Vibe (see below). There are a variety of different attachment tips to choose from, all designed to achieve specific goals. The tool includes a medical grade, latex free plastic handle in light blue or royal blue, a preefer tip, and a battery.Please note: The unit comes with a special Vibe Battery not available in stores. We recommend buying a spare at the time of purchase. To turn the unit on, simply twist the Switch Tip just until it starts to vibrate (please do not over-tighten!). Caution: the Z-Vibe is NOT a toy. It is a therapeutic tool intended to be used by a professional therapist (or by parents trained by their therapist). It contains small parts (including a battery) that may pose a choking hazard: direct adult supervision is required at all times.
