Due to the ongoing shortage of the Sodium Chloride 0.9 I.V solution from Baxter, Fresenius & B.Braun, we have work to secure supply of an alternative product sourced from French manufactures Lavoisier and Bio-Luz.
These alternative fluids have been approved by the TGA under section 19A of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989.

- Indicated for extracellular fluid replacement and in the management of metabolic alkalosis in the presence of fluid loss, and for restoring or maintaining the concentration of sodium and chloride ions.
- This sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of sodium chloride 0.9% (normal saline) is designed for intravenous (IV) infusion.
- It is used to restore fluid balance, correct electrolyte imbalances, and hydrate patients.
