This is to allow any seepage of moisture to fully dry. it is particularly suitable in humid tropical climates.\u003cbr\u003e\nAbout the Shower Belt\u003cbr\u003e\nThe belt can be wiped dry between patients.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe Shower Belt is used on commode chairs, mainly when showering. Place the belt centrally behind the chair and wrap both ends around the frame at the pelvic position on both sides of the chair. The Hook \u0026amp; Loop Tape sections can then be fastened together at the back of the commode chair.\u003cbr\u003e\nIf the patient is able to open the Hook \u0026amp; Loop Tape, use the belt in the opposite way, with the belt across the patient’s lap.Then wrap around the frame at the pelvic position and fasten the Hook \u0026amp; Loop Tape together behind the chair.\u003cbr\u003e\nAlso consider the\u003cbr\u003e\nShower Belt Shoulder Strap\u003cbr\u003e\nto provide extra help to nursing staff when patients are slippery and wet whilst being washed. Staff should be available at all times to monitor their use.\u003cbr\u003e\nGeneral Public Restraint Authorisation Letter\u003cbr\u003e\nIf this product is purchased\u003cbr\u003e\nfor use in a private home\u003cbr\u003e\n, we require authorisation from a suitable person. This is to ensure it will be used correctly and safely by the family and\/or carers, and that using it will not be dangerous. Examples of a suitable person  who is able to sign the letter are: Occupational Therapist; Physiotherapist; Clinical Nurse Manager; Registered Nurse; Doctor; or another suitably qualified person.
