The Novis AreaCare Pro Pressure Mattress is a multi-density foam pressure surface which offers maximum pressure reduction in a three-layer foam surface for higher risk patients in the Low/Medium risk category. The three layered, zoned design of this very high risk pressure surface is ideal for heavier patients with poor mobility or uncertain skin sensitivity.
Made from premium materials, each foam layer is made of varying density to maximise the redistribution of pressure. The top layer memory foam also incorporates a special immersion, slow recovery foam foot zone for the ulcer prone heel area, while the corrugation improves ventilation to the skin’s surface and increases the overall weight capacity to 220 kilograms.
The Novis AreaCare Pro Pressure Mattress is designed to be a medium-risk pressure surface, ideal for those with poor mobility or skin sensitivity. To maximise the distribution of pressure this mattress is made from premium material with each form layer being made of varying densities.
The high density top layer is castellated  memory foam which improve airflow and conform to the body’s shape, whilst working with the higher resistance support layer to spread the pressure evenly. The special immersion, slow recovery memory foam is perfect for the more vulnerable areas, for example, heels. Finally, the core layer and edges ensure strength, form and stability. The foam is then covered in a cotton cover for added protection.
The AreaCare Pro Pressure Mattress is also has a six hinge system to suit profiling beds.
To reduce shear and friction the polyurethane top cover has a multi-stretch material. A waterfall skirt provides protection from moisture ingress, and the seams have been stitched to increase strength, and then welded or tape sealed for minimum infection control. The PVC base is non-slip to ensure the mattress stays in position on the bed.
The cover of the AreaCare Pro Pressure Mattress has been treated for dust mites, mould, bacteria and mildew, and has an asset management panel for recording facility details. The top cover and PVC base can be cleaned with warm water and a sodium hypochlorite solution (or similar). It can be machine washed up to 80 degrees.
