ETHIBOND EXCEL suture is a nonabsorbable, braided, coated surgical suture composed of coated polyester. The suture is braided to maximise physical properties for handling qualities. The coating is a relatively nonreactive nonabsorbable compound that acts as a lubricant enhancing handling qualities and is dyed green for enhanced visibility. ETHIBOND EXCEL suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures. This suture is also double-armed, with needles on both ends of the suture.
