The CairMax® Foam Air Support Surface Mattress is a non-powered pressure redistribution system designed to provide optimal comfort and pressure relief for patients. It utilises a multi-zone system of air cells that evenly distribute pressure across the body, particularly on bony prominences that are prone to injury.
This mattress is equipped with 10 laterally arranged air cells that work in conjunction with high-resilience foam inserts to provide excellent support and pressure redistribution. The unique HeelCair feature specifically redistributes pressure from the heels to the calves, reducing the risk of pressure ulcers in the heel area. Additionally, a low glide sheet positioned between the topper layer and air cells helps minimise shear and maximise pressure redistribution.
The CairMax® Foam Air Support Surface Mattress is designed to reactively adjust the air cell network to the therapeutic levels suitable for each patient. It can adapt to changes in patient posture or movement, ensuring consistent pressure relief and comfort.
The mattress features a fully welded top cover, which provides optimum infection control by preventing the ingress of fluids and contaminants. It is designed to be low-maintenance and cost-effective, as it generates no noise, requires no electricity, and has minimal upkeep requirements. This makes it an ideal choice for lower-risk patients who need a reliable pressure redistribution solution. CairMax® by Novis is a new range of hybrid pressure surfaces that aims to deliver maximum comfort and effectiveness in the prevention and treatment of pressure injuries.
