The Blood control technology allows healthcare workers to have a greater sense of control, with a tall push tab and three ridges for successful placement and advancement of the catheter.The BD Insyte™ Autoguard™ BC Pro Catheter eliminates the need to apply venous compression during insertion thus reducing the risk of blood exposure and less disruption to patient care. Furthermore, the Insyte™ catheter is constructed using BD Vialon™ Catheter Material which softens up to 70% in the vein, enabling longer dwell times and reducing the chance of mechanical phlebitis by up to 50%.
