For our own ‘in house’ testing we placed a total of 96.1kg \/ 211.9lbs. on a wheelchair seat section of the Board and three weights totalling 41.9kg \/ 92.3lbs on the Extended Leg Section of the board, so the weight was running the length of the extended section. We left the weights in place for 30 minutes, this is 10 minutes longer than the testing time when testing Patient Lifting Slings for the Australian and International Standards. The extended section of the Board bent down so the top edge of the board was 19cm \/ 7.5″ from the floor. After 30 minutes this had gone down to 18cm \/ 7.1″ from the floor. After removing the weights from the Extended Leg Section the board resumed to being straight again and the end was 41.9cm \/ 16.5″ from the floor. We then placed the board on a flat table and noticed a slight bend of about 1mm \/ 0.04″.
